I pray for my brothers and sisters that none of us will have to suffer the seven years of tribulation. According to 1 Thessalonians chapter 4:13 – 18, the people who will enter the seven years are those who weren’t taken up during the rapture. They, along with the foolish virgins in Matthew chapter 25:1-13, will be left behind to enter into the seven years of tribulation, and the ones in Matthew chapter 22:1-14. Matthew 25:1-13. Matthew 22:1-14. Study these verses and make sure you are not like these people. The foolish virgins are those who refuse to study the scriptures and refuse to serve God, or attend the wedding banquet of the lamb. These are the people who will be left behind, and enter the seven years of tribulation in order to earn their place in the kingdom of God, as if it were a supplemental exam. If the rapture is the final exam, those who fail it must take the supplemental exam.
Assuming some will enter the seven years, how should you face the difficulties? It is written in Psalms 46:1; “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” Psalm 46:7 “The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.” And Psalm 46:11 “The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.” The Psalmist wrote it three times, 46:1,7,11. Beginning, middle, and end. This is the only way to face the seven years of tribulation, not by your own strength, but by God, for he is our fortress. Relying on human strength will cause you to fall, and be tempted by Satan. Lean on these 3 verses in times of trouble, and rely on God.
There will be many trials to face for those who are left behind, which is why Jesus Christ was so eager to tell us about the wedding supper of the lamb in Matthew 22. The kingdom of heaven is like a king who prepared a wedding supper for his son, and invited all his subjects. And yet among those invited, some ignored the invitation and refused to come, preoccupied with their land and their businesses. These are the same people who give all kinds of excuses for not going to church and not serving God, and in the end, will be left behind to suffer the seven years of tribulation. Jesus Christ was afraid that we wouldn’t understand the parable in Matthew 22:1-14, and so told the story of the ten virgins, wise and foolish, written in Matthew 25:1-13. The fact that it was repeated means that we are given two chances – if you miss the first one, God is merciful and gives you a second opportunity for change. If the second chance is wasted, you will perish, and the Lord will say to you “Truly I tell you, I don’t know you.” I pray that we may all attend the wedding supper of the lamb, and not be disqualified.
In 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, Paul writes; “Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. 14 For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. 15 According to the Lord’s word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. 16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. 18 Therefore encourage one another with these words.” The ones who will be raptured and taken up into heaven are those written in 1 Thessalonians 1:3; “We remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.” If you have faith, hope and love for Jesus, you are the candidate who will be taken up into heaven and attend the wedding supper of the lamb.
In Psalm 46, it is also written what is in store for those who are left behind: “1 God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. 2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, 3 though its waters roar and foam and the mountain quake with their surging.” During the seven years of tribulation, the world as we know it will end, and the whole earth will change, for the earth will give way and the mountains will fall into the heart of the sea. It is written in Revelations 6:12-15; “ I watched as he opened the sixth seal. There was a great earthquake. The sun turned black like sackcloth made of goat hair, the whole moon turned blood red, 13 and the stars in the sky fell to earth, as figs drop from a fig tree when shaken by a strong wind. 14 The heavens receded like a scroll being rolled up, and every mountain and island was removed from its place.15 Then the kings of the earth, the princes, the generals, the rich, the mighty, and everyone else, both slave and free, hid in caves and among the rocks of the mountains.” Everyone went to hide and save their own lives. Brothers and sisters, when you see the earth give way, remember Psalm 46:1, 7, 11. God is our refuge and strength, and ever-present help in trouble, do not seek refuge in anyone or anything other than our Lord Jesus Christ. Do not follow the masses, who do not have God’s word in their hearts, who don’t read or believe in the scriptures. Keep these verses with you at all times, especially during times of trouble and trial, such as the tribulation. Whether beginning, middle or end, remember that “The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.” Hide yourself in Jesus Christ, not in caves. In Revelations 6:16-17 it says; “ They called to the mountains and the rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! 17 For the great day of their wrath has come, and who can withstand it?” Even during a time of distress, these people cried out to the mountains, but they are not fortresses or refuge, they should cry out to Jesus Christ our Lord.
Psalm 46:4; “There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells.” Meaning that our refuge is in where the Most High dwells. Acts 4:12; “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.” There is no salvation in the mountains or in mere men, we must learn that while we are living on earth, when we are in distress, the first person we cry out to is Jesus Christ, for salvation is found in no one else. Those written in Revelation 6 are foolish people who do not know the scripture and don’t know who to call for. The Lord is our refuge and our strength. Psalm 29:10-11; “The Lord sits enthroned over the flood; the Lord is enthroned as King forever. 11 The Lord gives strength to his people; the Lord blesses his people with peace.” If the Lord sits enthroned over the flood during the judgment time in the Old Testament, I can ensure you that the Lord will also sit enthroned over the seven years of tribulation. Call on the Lord to save you, no other person has the power to help you. Be sure that others learn of Psalm 46 as well, so that your friends and family who enter the seven years may be delivered by God as well. Psalm 46:5; “God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day.” Here is the city of God, the holy city. God is within the holy place, and the city of God will not fall. Mountains and caves will fall, which is why you shouldn’t hide in them. Our refuge is the city of God, where the Most High dwell. Unlike those who want to hide from Jesus during times of trouble like in Revelations 6, cry out to God, confess your sins and ask for mercy and salvation. Seek our Lord Jesus Christ and his deliverance, and the Lord will help the city of God at the break of day. Joel 2:30; “I will show wonders in the heavens and on the earth, blood and fire and billows of smoke. 31 The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord. 32 And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved; for on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there will be deliverance. as the Lord has said, even among the survivors whom the Lord calls.” Psalms 46:1, 46:7, 46:11, remember these verses and there will be deliverance, even among the survivors whom the Lord calls. During that time, the Lord Jesus Christ will judge the whole world. Joel 3:14-16; “Multitudes, multitude in the valley of decision! For the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision. 15 The sun and moon will be darkened, and the stars no longer shine. 16 The Lord will roar from Zion and thunder from Jerusalem, the earth and the heavens will tremble. But the Lord will be a refuge for his people, a stronghold for the people of Israel.” He will thunder from the holy place, from the city of God. In Joel 2:14 it writes that many nations will attack Jerusalem, and perish there, for God is within the city of God, and it will not fall. In Revelations 6:12 it says; “ I watched as he opened the sixth seal. There was a great earthquake. The sun turned black like sackcloth made of goat hair, the whole moon turned blood red,” Then in Revelations 8:12 it is written; “The fourth angel sounded his trumpet, and a third of the sun was struck, a third of the moon, and a third of the stars, so that a third of them turned dark. A third of the day was without light, and also a third of the night.” Then in Revelations 16:10; “The fifth angel poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and its kingdom was plunged into darkness. People gnawed their tongues in agony” The beast is the antichrist, and his kingdom, the world will become plunged into darkness, without light for a long time. When this happens, our Lord Jesus Christ will return. The sixth bowl is in the valley of decision, the valley of Jehoshaphat, the Armageddon, the third world war will be in the sixth bowl. The seventh bowl will be poured, bringing a great earthquake, and mountains will fall to the heart of the sea. Certainly, Lantau Peak in Hong Kong will disappear, for that is where the big Buddha statue resides. All false gods or idols put on top of a mountain like the Jesus statue in Brazil will fall. Brothers and sisters, do not go near such things, for in Deuteronomy 7, the bible declared that these false idols are detestable to God, and are set apart for destruction. If you affiliate yourselves with such things, you too will be destroyed. Though the earth give way and the mountains fall, do not fear, for God is our refuge and strength, and ever present help in trouble. The waters will roar and foam and the mountains will quake with their surging, creating tsunamis. There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells, that is Mount Zion in Jerusalem, the Holy city of God. The Lord is within her, she will not fall, and God will help her at break of day. The earth, after the fifth bowl of God’s wrath is poured, will be filled with utter darkness until our Lord Jesus Christ returns, for He is the light of the world, and the world will shine. We must be patient during the darkest times and await our saviour, as it is written in Psalm 130:5-6; “I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits, and in his word I put my hope. 6 I wait for the Lord more than watchmen wait for the morning (bright Morning Star), more than watchmen wait for the morning.” Psalm 30:5; “For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.” In this case, His anger will be for seven years, but his favor lasts a lifetime. Revelations 22:16; ““I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star.” Our Lord Jesus Christ is also called the bright Morning Star, and He will deliver his people at the break of dawn. We have to word of God, and should not be afraid when the world is in darkness, for we believe in the light of the world. Do not follow anyone who does not follow Jesus Christ, believe what the Bible says, and not the words of mere men.
Multitudes of nations will be in uproar, and the kingdom of this world will fall. Jesus Christ will lift his voice, and the earth will melt. When he lifts his voice to deliver his people, everything will break down. Psalm 46:7-9; The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. Come and see what the Lord has done, the desolations he has brought on the earth. 9 He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth. He breaks the bow and shatters the spear; he burns the shields with fire.” All the wars in the whole world will cease, and every nation will know that He is the Lord of lords, King of all kings, and they will all see the desolation the Lord Jesus Christ has brought onto the earth. He is the one who created everything, and He has the ability to destroy everything. The whole world will be at peace and he will break the bow and shatter the spear, and burn the shields with fire. The reason for this is written in Isaiah 2:4; “He will judge between the nations and will settle disputes for many peoples. They will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not take up sword against nation, nor will they train for war anymore.” During the Millennium Kingdom, there will be no more weapons of war. They will be melted and broken into tools for agriculture, useful instruments of life instead of death. God is great.
In Psalm 46:10 it is written; “He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” See and know that the Lord Jesus Christ is God, and be still. The Lord himself will fight the battle for you, and He will be exalted among the nations and all the earth. The whole world will be lit in His light when He comes. Psalm 46:11; “The Lord Almighty is with us; The God of Jacob is our fortress.”
